Louie
Louie's ideal home
Louie is an older boy, but still full of fun, and just loves being around people. He is looking for a home where people will be around most of the time, but he could be left for short periods once settled. He could live with children of secondary school age who are happy to play with him, and who understand he can get quite bouncy and excited. He would like to be the only dog in his new home as he's not really interested in other dogs, but he could enjoy occsaional walks with similarly natured canine chums once settled. Louie very much enjoys his walks and loves being in the garden, so he would need adopters keen to take him out for regular walks and exercise. If you rent your home, please make sure you have written permission from your landlord to keep a dog at your property.
Could you be Louie's perfect match?
Louie has come to us through no fault of his own, and being the social little chap he is, he was quite sad being in his kennel as he just wants to be with people. We quickly found him a lovely foster home where he is thriving and very much loving all the fuss and attention he's getting. He's an exceptionally affectionate boy, and once he's fnished playing and walking for the day, he loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa with his family. He has in the past been known to occasionally chew on his lead whilst out walking, particularly if he's feeling worried or unsure, but now settling in his foster home, he isn't showing this behaviour and he is a pleasure to walk - he walks very nicely on his lead and is happy to sniff and explore once out and about. He hasnt shown much interest in toys and balls, but once he's happy and settled you are likely to see his more playful side and as long as he is with you, he'll enjoy whatever it is you're doing. Louie has never been a fan of journeys in the car, and can become vocal and distressed, so he is looking for a home with quiet walks and interesting places to sniff within walking distance so he can enjoy the fresh air and scenery without having to take too many trips in the car. Due to him being worried whilst travelling, he would also love a garden where he can play (and sunbathe!) to his hearts content! Louie is a good boy for the vet, though it's not his favourite place to be, but as long as he has his people with him he can manage occasional visits for things such as vaccinations and general healthcare and maintenance. Louie is an adorable boy and would make a lovely companion - do you have room in your heart, home (and sofa!) for this lovely boy?
