Del
Del's ideal home
Del is looking for a home with owners who will give him the time, attention and life he deserves. He would like owners who will take him for lovely walks, play lots of fun games and engage in lots of positive training fun with him and be patient and understand that he may need a different approach sometimes due to his hearing difficulties. He will need his own secure garden and could live with children aged 16 and over who are calm and would give Del space when he needs it. Del would prefer to be the only pet in his home, but would benefit from calm walking friends to ensure he is well socialised. Del would like his new owners to be home for the majority of the time with owners who will gradually build his leaving time in a positive way once he has settled into his new home. Del travels well in the car and jumps straight in to settle nicely and is housetrained but may need a reminder when he comes to his new home. Del will need to meet his adopters multiple times before going home, so please bear this in mind prior to applying for him.
Could you be Del's perfect match?
A sweet, cuddly, friendly and playful boy, Del the 7 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a real character who is so full of life! He enjoys meeting new people if he can take his time and will say hello with a waggy tail, standing nicely to receive a gentle fuss before moving on to continue sniffing his surroundings. He is a really foody boy and will eat pretty much any treat on offer. If you take your time giving them to him, he lets you know you're being too slow with a little bark! Del is quite hard of hearing, so he sits with a hand signal. He has so much potential to learn lots more tricks with hand signals and this will be helped by his love of food rewards. He loves chasing toys and carrying them around with him. He especially loves rope toys and tug or ragger games, soft teddies are no match for this boy! Del loves exploring new areas and going on nice walks, he is a bit uncomfortable when meeting other dogs, especially if they are boisterous and bouncy but he can walk with them when on lead if he has space to relax. He will make a playful, affectionate and loving addition to your home.
