Pearl's ideal home

Pearl is looking for a home with adult adopters. She is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She likes to enjoy all her toys for herself. Care may be needed around livestock. She would benefit from having doggie pals when out and about. Pearl arrived as a stray so we have no history of her life in a home, she may need help with her housetraining, she is not used to car travel. Time left alone is best built up gradually. Pearl would best suit a quiet home environment with a routine. Experience of the breed would be beneficial.

Could you be Pearl's perfect match?

Pearl is a beautiful five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. She wants to be everyone’s friend and can be anxious and unsure at the same time. Pearl is a big fan of toys, she likes treats, but is more motivated by toys. She enjoys a game of fetch with you, or if she has what she considers her ‘special’ toy, she will keep it for herself. Pearl enjoys going out for walks and she has been walking alongside other dogs, she is indifferent about them. Although Pearl is instantly friendly with new people, it takes her some time before she begins to relax and feel comfortable enough to enjoy a fuss and affection. It may take her some time for her to truly feel safe with a person therefore adopters will need to be calm, patient, and understanding of this while she takes her time to settle in. Pearl is practicing a ‘sit’, she is learning a ‘leave’, learning to respond to her name, and gaining confidence with getting into the car and travelling.
