CHAMP THE WONDER DOG

HOWARD FROM TAKE THAT MEETS CHAMP!

Arrived 1st April 2022 Fostered WilmslowChamp was abandoned in the flat. But the owner was traced. He had got Covid and was hospitalized. Someone was meant to be seeing to him.Champ is a lovely Staffy who likes nothing more than human attention, he desperately wants to come and say hello and shower you with his special brand of Champ affection, he’ll jump up for a cuddle and settle in for a nap next to you, or on your lap, and you’ll be left in no doubt that he loves to be loved. If you let him, he’ll happily dive under the covers at bedtime and sleep next to your feet, maybe time for a quick cuddle first. He can get quite excited when he’s going out and does tend to jump up at people. When he gets too excited he lets out his half whimper half bark, he cannot contain his excitement! Don’t let his grey facial hair lead you to think he’s anything but full of energy.Having said that, he’s generally very calm when the adults of the house are doing their own thing (he loves to sit at the window and watch the world go by),and he’s happy to be left. He travels fine in the car but will find it quite exciting and the whimpering noises will resume! With the help of a little cheese, he’s nearly learnt to sit when asked. He always takes his treats very politely! He loves his walks but does try to take himself for a walk by grabbing the lead. Unfortunately, he’s not dog friendly, so his new owner will need to avoid other dogs. He loves to take in as many of the smells when outside as he can. If there are any daffodils on the route, you can be sure he’ll march straight through them!Whoever is lucky enough to get to adopt Champ will revel in the abundance of love and affection that he loves to give, a little rub on the back or his belly is all he asks in return.

My personality

  • I need training how to sit nicely (and then I can master the rest)
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I'd prefer to be the only dog in a home
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm always on the go
  • I love fuss and attention
