Description

Dougie's ideal home

Dougie is a sweet 4 year old Staffie who is a wee soul! He can find the world quite scary and overwhelming so does need a patient and understanding home who are willing to be hands off, especially whilst he is settling in. Dougie can make dog friends but would be best suited to being the only dog in the home at the moment. This super Staffie is full of energy so would love an active home. He also isn't used to being left by himself so would love to have someone at home for most of the day, and any time that he is left alone to be built up very gradually over time.

Could you be Dougie's perfect match?

Dapper chap Dougie is looking to have direct access from the home into a secure and private garden, with a 6ft fence. Due to how worried he can be, especially in new situations, he is looking for any children to be aged 16 years or above. He'd also benefit from a switched on family who can take care and go slow with Dougie, and read his body language to give him space when he needs it. This bonnie lad is a lot of fun and is just looking for a little bit of support to help him thrive!

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
