Ralph can live with children of high school age but will need to be the only pet at home. He is house trained and can be left alone for a couple of hours once he has settled in.

Ralph is a lovely young lad with oodles of energy and he's often not quite sure what to do with it! He's enjoying life at the centre as he's made lots of new friends and he gets very excited when he sees another dog. Ralph loves other dogs but he lacks any social skills and is very boisterous and over the top with others. He will often bark and pull on his lead to get to them, then wallops them with his big paws in his excitement! He's better as the only pet at home for now, but with a little help form his new family working on his focus and introductions, he has potential for the future. Ralph likes to greet people just as excitedly but we're helping him realise that "four on the floor" gets him a lot further than diving on someone! He likes to play and will chase after toys, bringing them back to swap for another one or for a titbit. Ralph has had some nice basic training put in place by his previous family and it would be great if his adopters could expand that a little, he's such a smashing lad and learns quickly.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
