Meet Cupid! He is a 1 year old Lurcher cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for his forever home. Cupid's journey to DogsTrust is a bit foggy but we do know that he would be suited to being the only pet in the house and could live children aged 14 years old and above. He walks very nicely on a lead and is working with the training team here at the centre to develop his social skills with other dogs but is instantly friendly with all new people he meets. Cupid will need a home where there is someone around most of the time to begin with but can have his leaving hours slowly built up once he is settled in.

Cupid is very eager to learn and his love of treats makes him excel in his training plans! He is always ready and raring for his walks and loves his toys especially his enrichment puzzles that he is very clever at solving! Cupid has as much love to give as his name suggests and with time and patience will make a lovely addition to any family home!

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
