Scooby's ideal home
Scooby is looking for a calm, predictable home environment to settle down in with minimal visitors to begin with, he is looking for adopters who will take him to quieter walking areas for lots of sniffy walks and fun adventures. He could live with children aged 12 and over who can play nicely with him and give him space to rest when he needs. Scooby could live with a calm and friendly dog who will happily co-exist and may engage in play on occasion, though this is not a necessity, he would be happy with friendly walking buddies. He has a history of living with cats, so could live with a cat pending a scent swap. He has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit”, but is not very interested in training sessions at the moment, he was fully housetrained in his last home, but may need a refresher in his new home so access to a private secure garden is necessary. Scooby settles in the home so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up gradually after he has had time to settle into his new home. Scooby takes regular medication for arthritis. He will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need home visits so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
Could you be Scooby's perfect match?
Sensitive soul Scooby is a 10 and a half year old Whippet cross Staffy who likes to spend his days snuggling on the sofa and playing in the garden in equal measure. He is a calm and quiet gentleman looking for adopters who are relaxed and gentle in nature to suit his personality. He likes to cuddle up on the sofa with gentle fusses and will put his paw on your lap for more. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys so far, he would rather take a gentle stroll or snuggle up for a snooze.
