Description

Joey pup's ideal home

Joey is a sensitive lad who has come a long way in his journey but still has much to learn about normal life. Despite not having the best start, he has made significant progress and continues to show potential with the right guidance. Joey can be worried by new people and he tends to jump up at people, including his handlers, which is a behaviour that will need continued training. Joey's new family must be patient and understanding, helping him build confidence and learn basic manners. Moderate exercise and mental stimulation will help him thrive, and he will benefit from further socialisation. He must be the only pet in the home, though he can have doggy friends on his walks. Joey travels well in the car but is still learning to get in and out. He is housetrained to an extent, toileting when out and about, though accidents in the home are still possible.

Could you be Joey pup's perfect match?

Joey's ideal home would be with sensible and patient owners who live within an hour of the centre, as regular meetings will be necessary to build trust before adoption. He needs a safe space where he can feel secure, and his new owner should be prepared to follow an introduction plan to help Joey acclimate to new people and environments. Once he is settled in his new home, his new family will need to gradually build up the time he spends alone. With time and trust, he warms up to gentle affection. Given his sensitive nature, Joey would thrive in a calm and stable environment where he receives consistent guidance and support. If you are ready to offer Joey the time, patience, and love he needs, please apply. Joey is looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey towards a happier and more confident life.

Staffie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
